ARTutor

Augmented Reality for Youth

To make use of the augmentations developed in this project, you must:
  • use the specially redesigned Fairy Tales or Aesop’s Myths, which were created as part of the AR4Youth project. These digital files are accessible here. You have the option to print them and utilize the printed version, or use the digital version as displayed on your computer screen. It's important to note that if you choose the latter option, you will require two digital devices, one of which should be your mobile device.
  • install the ARTutor on your mobile device. ARTutor serves as a versatile platform, designed to seamlessly integrate digital content—referred to as augmentations—into conventional educational materials, including textbooks (usually in PDF format) and other written resources. The ARTutor app is readily accessible for Android devices via the Google Play Store.

ARTutor

ARTutor empowers educators to effortlessly generate augmented books, regardless of their programming expertise. Moreover, the platform is dedicated to facilitating students' self-directed learning and enhancing their comprehension of educational content.

The ARTutor platform comprises two primary components:
  1. The authoring tool, a web-based application utilized for uploading learning materials and various learning objects.
  2. The mobile application, which downloads and presents the learning objects, facilitating interaction between the learner and the educational material.
To access the augmentations for Fairy Tales created in this project:
